Tell your story with the confidence of a young white man who just graduated from their parent-funded ivy-league MBA.

This is real advice^. It helps a ridiculous amount to fake your own confidence, especially since you're actually super qualified and know your stuff.

So this is the confidence that you should have when you tell your story.

Real talk: I think we start looking like we doubt ourselves more as we get older and build expertise because we understand the risks associated with the things that we promise. We become more cautious, as our bosses burn us with their overconfident promises.

I'm not asking you to lie. I'm asking you to carry yourself with the confidence you deserve to have with your domain expertise.

@mayintoronto oof. Damn May. I thought we were friendly and then you turn around and make a post about me.

No really, thank you. You are 100% right and it is time I stop letting insecurities hold me back. 🫶

@NinjaNia Knives out!!! for insecurity.

I hope this helps!

@mayintoronto

All of this. So much this.

@mayintoronto
Fake it till you make, baby! 😎
@crispius People say that, but you know your shit, so you're not faking it.

@mayintoronto

The confidence of the less qualified the better.

@mayintoronto

Oh lord, deliver me from MBAs.

@Sir_Osis_of_Liver I feel like I need another shower after that one.

@mayintoronto

OMG. <eye twitch>

I see you've dealt with their kind as well.

It's the dead eyes and meaningless smile. The same smile they have whether congratulating you on a job well done, or as they sink a knife into your chest.
