So, I found this app from a quick google search searching for alternatives after realizing that the other platforms are pretty much cursed.
Like twitter, the 7eff3ry news made me realize how sick things are and not many of my friends are talking about it. This is not normal and we should leave that platform. From the Gr0k's Colossus data center being bad in real life and the digital world to being a straight up p0rn social media. well it was already like that before el0n bought it, but still.
I left to bluesky immediately. But then I was told by a little bird that the owner(s) are/is zi0n15ts. I did a quick google and it's true, the platform even got funded even by them. And after that, I found this platform.
From what I read from some google searches, it had its down in the past. From the lack of moderating to the culture of quoting people without their permission. Yeah, I still don't get how that's a problem when we do that all the time on twitter.
But in the end, the developers did fix those problems the users were* expressing. So that's cool. The other cool thing I found is that the creator, Eugen Rokho pitched this platform where it's decentralized and is not owned by anyone is just awesome.
Welp thats what I digged. I hope to share more what I learned and to see others digging in the future to hoho
