I assumed this was initially a dig at the kind of people who regularly flirt with the law by helping themselves to copper pipe and flogging it.

But then, maybe on reflection of the reviews of his alternative Super Bowl halftime entertainment (it was just really dull) - it’s considered to be dull to track the price of commodities.
