Standing outside at #night watching the night #sky as one does, I heard #geese flying overhead. They were actually incredibly illuminated by the town’s light. I scamper inside the house and grab my camera and tripod. I knew I wouldn’t be able to get sharp captures of them because of the low light conditions but that wasn’t my goal. I wanted their formation blurred across a somewhat crisp night sky. These geese are making their migratory journey hundreds of miles north to their breeding grounds.

An allegory of the fast paced #life we live under a somewhat slow moving, almost stationary portrait of the rest of the cosmos. Sometimes we need to rest and just wonder.

I included multiple shots and edit styles I was toying with. #Pleiades (the seven sisters) can be seen on the top of the picture. The green streak is a satellite.

What a great moment you captured. I only heard flying gooses recently.
Thank you! I had to look it up but they migrate north from mid-February to late March
That's fantastic, what a great idea! 🤩
Thank you. 🙏
@FlashF1R3 This is just incredible! Brilliant idea and execution.🤩👏👏👏
Very cool effect. More an more geese have been showing up here (I'm in Canada)
@prairie_pronghorn It’s so cool to think you just might see some of the geese in this picture. I’m still amazed they fly as far as they do.
