Every time Trump does something else horrific, I see people sharing the content on social media and asking what more it could possibly take for his supporters to abandon him. “Surely this must be the breaking point, right?”
Today it is the disgusting racist caricature of the Obamas, last week it was evidence of Trump's horrific crimes from the Epstein files, and next week it will be some fresh new display of evil.

I think it speaks to the sincere empathy of those who earnestly inquire if this newest development is finally the tipping point, if this latest demonstration of criminality, racism, pedophilia, or corruption is enough, because they imagine that if only Trump supporters could see how hateful he is, then they would abandon him.

The trouble is that his supporters already know all these things...and they love him all the more for them.
Save yourself the effort. They do not care.
Something has absolutely rotted the minds and consciences of a significant portion of the population, and that thing is sheer, unadulterated hatred. They don't care if they are suffering as long as someone they hate is suffering more.
