@heidilifeldman The news yesterday about the end of the Forest Service hit me harder than I expected it to.
I chalk it up to being born and raised in the West—a lot of folks in today’s Congress have never seen the land protected by the Forest Service.
What a shame.
When I was a kid, some guy a generation older than my dad (who recently died at 96), mentioned that it was a good thing that so much of the West was protected land. “otherwise it’d just be ruined”

She was deported to #Auschwitz from the #Theresienstadt ghetto on 23 October 1944. She was murdered in a gas chamber.
