my mission right now. to somehow read an iunaccessible PDF file. I used to have kurzwiel a very long time ago, but I don't anymore, so lets see what I can do to read this. *starts the mission impossible theme song*.
@JamminJerry shove it through paperback?
@munchkinbear I didn't think to try thatk,l but I don't know if paperback would do an OCR on it, as that is what was needed.
@JamminJerry I don't know either.
@munchkinbear well holy shit! it actually opened it just fine! I don't know if it did OCR on it, but it is readable in paperback. hey @shefoof that application could have been opened in paperback.
@JamminJerry @shefoof it's literally the first thing I try, if something like a browser isn't rendering a pdf properly, download, chuck into paperback. I literally use adobe as a *last* resort and only if it's a form that needs to be filled out, that is if, the pdf was a fillable pdf form anyhow. Actually now that I think about it, I think @mcourcel may have mentioned some free thing called fox pdf or something that actually might work in fillable PDF forms so you wouldn't need adobe.
@munchkinbear @JamminJerry @shefoof @mcourcel Sadly, PB doesn't do OCR, but it will handle things which don't require it, and usually handle them very well. I've heard good things about Foxit reader and have to try it.
