I supported PayPal a few times after this, and their Linux infrastructure is by far the most painstakingly utilisation-optimised, performance-monitored pile of servers Iβve ever seen.
The idea of changing *distros* makes me wonder if it would be possible, at any price. The idea of that workload on Windows redefines βabsurdβ.
