Apple designers be like: “ok guys, if you come across any remaining readable text across the OS, you need to ruin it asap”
@nileane Blurs work so much better than glass in 90% of places, this is just malpractice.

@nileane
So … this is a valid reaction to 26.3?

@AliveDevil yes. honestly, apple is absolutly loosing it*

*the things they had that people liked about them

Next phone is a Mobiola MB4280 then.
And a laptop with LTE/5G modem.
@AliveDevil I still like smart phones, they‘re pretty neat :D
But yeah, laptop with LTE would be nice.
@nileane ok. But why. Who asked for this.
@nileane I'm glad Apple is protecting me from having to read, since we all know that reading is woke and harms children.
@nileane they can't imagine that anyone would actually like to know anything
@nileane omg that AI-extended corner of that paper folder(?) is killing me
@nileane You could drive an Apple Car through that leading.
@nileane @marcoarment beggars belief doesn’t it? 🫠
@nileane @marcoarment Who is making these decisions at Apple? Do they not have functioning eyes? 😳

@nileane they're trying to lean really hard into this kind of "progressive blur", but the contrast is absolutely terrible.

While designing my own UIs I've also tried to place text at the bottom of cards with progressive/fading dark overlays, but the text ended up being unreadable, just like in this example.

Sad to see this choice from Apple, they're once again running perfectly good-looking and functional aspects of their UI.
