Torsion spring needs to be winded up once a week, which makes it even cooler. No batteries included (needed!).
Bradford Needham@dlsl That's often called an anniversary clock. If you have it serviced, it should run for a year on one winding.
@bneedhamia Oh so that's what it is called, thank you so much! Found a lot of material on it with that name. And that is amazing news, I guess I really should get it serviced as the once-a-week winding has been bit cumbersome.
@dlsl be prepared for sticker shock. There are so few clockmakers around any more and so few clocks being repaired that getting a clock repaired is a bit spendy. ...and torsion clocks, like yours, are a bit fiddly. You can see repairs of them on "Torsion Dell" channel on YouTube.
@bneedhamia haven't checked yet my local options but that doesn't sound promising. Hope I can find one.
Thanks for the tip, maybe I'll give it a try with youtube videos knowing I'll take a risk of ruining things (If i can't find a repair shop within a reasonable distance).
