The features #Firefox added: AI

The features I want (back): scrollbars (i don't f care if the so-called "designer" want to hide those), ability to select text (fucking hard when links now), copy paste (do not let app developers mess with it), right-click save as works on any video (if I can view it, I can save it), history you can filter both by site and period, simple click in url bar set the cursor, not select the entire url (triple click is for that)... Well, a tool to use the web 🤷🥺

@lutindiscret Oh for crying out loud ... can people stop complaining about #Mozilla for just 5 seconds?

In 2025 the #Firefox team added Vertical Tabs, Tab Groups, improvements to PiP, PDF editing and so on while still supporting MV2 and uBlock Origin.

They're now working on Split View, customizable keyboard shortcuts and other non-AI stuff. An AI kill switch is coming in the next release.

Scrollbars? One non-AI search learns: https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussions/how-to-increase-the-width-of-the-vertical-scroll-bar/m-p/48640.

How to increase the width of the vertical scroll bar?

How to increase the width of the vertical scroll bar on Firefox? It's too annoying to work on this unreachable scroll bar. Can you fix it soon? Else I'll explore other browsers.

@asterix @lutindiscret You are talking about Firefox features but ignoring the massive investment in AI and them shipping AI features from companies that are destroying the web.

But yeah, we got a couple of features.

@yoasif I'm not defending their AI investments at all. I don't like the push for AI in every bit of software today either.

However, it is intellectually incorrect to state they ONLY focus on AI and deliver nothing else.

@asterix Yeah that is true.

I tend to think that the AI features overshadow the others, given the investment. Just imagine if all the money being poured into AI was being put into Firefox and Gecko.
