Oh SHIT! It's on, Bitwig. You've got an Ableton-like competitor in the #LinuxAudio space that is way better than you at normal audio recording, mixing, and editing.
PaulDavisTheFirst@alisynthesis it will take us a little bit before I really want Ardour compared to Bitwig for what Bitwig is REALLY good at, but we will get there, no question.
Meanwhile, do the normal stuff :))
@PaulDavisTheFirst that makes total sense and frankly, I really, really value Ardour for how well it handles normal audio stuff. Bitwig does not even come close on that front.
But if you want to make electronic music with only your computer, Bitwig is pretty hard to beat! 🙂
@PaulDavisTheFirst also, I will admit that my original post was a little melodramatic. 
But I am excited to see that side of Ardour growing because I think clips (and all that that entails) are really useful tools for lots of people.
