With all due disrespect, If you think that creating a UI comp in Figma is the bulk of the work of being a designer or typing out the code is the majority of the work of being a developer, then you do not know JACK SHIT about working in tech. I'm so fucking sick of people talking about AI "10x"-ing their productivity by automating those things. All that tells me is YOU WEREN'T DOING THE ACTUAL WORK IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Not to mention the fact that the output of AI will be so riddled with problems that you'd need to spend just as long correcting it anyway. But I suppose someone who thinks AI output is "good enough" probably isn't bothered about that.
@misoks i also use the coding process to think about the problem and go through multiple drafts of code. typing the code is fairly fast, the slow part is understanding the problem
@wolfteeth Exactly. The bulk of the work is exploring the problem space.
@misoks i know smart people who are all in on llms and claim that generating code will give me more time to think about the problems i'm trying to solve. but it just makes me wonder what their workflow is
