@janbeta Replying here too (why the heck did I reply on Bsky? 😝): I need to do the same. My ex-wife worked for Amazon, and told me about the horrors inside. Since then, I haven’t bought anything from them (but didn’t close my account), You people have a preferred EU based online bookstore you can recommend me?

@dmian I mostly buy books offline these days. We still have some great bookshops here, most of them also do online orders (or you can pre-order and pick up your books in person).

@janbeta You made me remember that I used to buy a lot of books, CDs and DVDs from Fnac (I guess it’s a store without a presence in Germany, but very popular in Spain back in the day).

@afachat @janbeta They don’t have an option to set the site in any languages other than German, so I’m inclined to think they don’t send to other countries. A pity, since it looks nice and they have books in English and Spanish, from what I can see.
