A story in two parts...

Update: The seem to have opted for the chargeback. (i.e. they just repeated themselves).

Amex are usually pretty good on these things - will see.

Also, nothing on the web site suggested Hong Kong. The URL included UK and charged in GBP.

I am guessing they have seen my chargeback from Amex now...

@revk I am in awe of your hard stances.
@coldclimate I still feel stupid for falling for it.
@revk What was it this time?
@mansr Telescope. Their site (probably AI based) makes a lot of their "brand" and how their founder focussed on high quality optics and it is a brand that means quality, etc. But what they drop ship from Hong Kong is the cheapest unbranded Chinese toy telescope you can buy. So I have said "not as described" (i.e. not the brand I ordered) even if it does have same focal length and aperture, etc.
@revk @mansr Ugh :(
@srtcd424 @mansr It is probably worth the £20 for the same thing from Amazon, but not the £169 they charged for it.
@revk @srtcd424 And Amazon would gladly take it back with a full refund, no questions asked.
@revk part 3 will be interesting (and hopefully the finale).

@GerardThornley Part 3 looks like this now.

One reason to use Amex is the consumer credit act protections, or at least how they handle disputes anyway.
