Wishlist for the commander B&R announcement:
Mana crypt is double banned - if you own one, all of your decks have to run a blank card (no name, no type, no cost, no rules text)
#MagicTheGathering
@Fruan "if you possess a commander deck and it isn't a pauper goblins deck you are required to issue a public apology then throw yourself into the sea" is my preferred commander announcement. mind you i do not have a pauper goblins commander deck
@ldottxt New tongue-twister unlocked: a proper paper pauper goblin in a proper paper pauper goblin deck
@Fruan I unironically think banning all the moxes/big mana rocks is one of the best things they could do for Commander. I kind of even have this opinion about net two mana rituals, but at least with those people are trying to do cool shit sometimes.
@Fruan Huh. Blank card is probably relatively fine from a rules perspective, and I suspect you could pull some shenanigans to make a typeless, ability-less permanent, but could you do anything with a blank card other than draw/discard it?
@Fruan Can't cast something without a casting cost, but the usual cascade or other tricks get around that. I think it might break just in terms of cr.608 giving instructions on how to resolve permanents and instants/sorceries/abilities but has no case for something that's neither.
@lainling fair! There’d need to be a mention there.
@Fruan You could probably get away with tweaking the definition of a permanent _card_ to include typeless cards? The rules are already clear that permanents that somehow lose all their types are still permanents.
