I have another build of my Fast Weather app available for testing. Build 19 has a fairly robust set of features and fixes. You can try the app at:

Further notes:
***Important***
Some settings have changed so if you are not finding the data you expect, please open Settings and use Reset at the bottom of the page to get the updated settings and defaults. This will not delete your existing cities.

Join the Weather Fast beta

Available on iOS

*A use my current location is now available when adding a new city.
*If you want to read some *really* cold temperatures, browse under international and add some of the newly listed Antarctica weather stations. (2/5)

*Extensive cleanup of settings to organize and allow for greater customization of the details in each major category--City List, Today's Forecast, Weather Alerts, 24 Hour Details, 16 Day Details and more. Use VoiceOver actions on the headings for each category in settings to adjust the order of the category.
*Expected Precipitation, Historical Weather and Weather Around Me now on by default and not behind the developer Settings option.

***Changes and Fixes*** (3/5)

*Precipitation section for city details removed. This data was supposed to show actual amounts of precipitation at a given time but was not working. You can still view many details around the expected precipitation in both hourly and daily details.
*Better identification of the general category of precipitation and specifics for rain and snow.
*Performance improvements throughout the app.

***Test Notes*** (4/5)

*Please try the full app experience. There are a number of under-the-hood improvements for performance and reliability as well as the previously mentioned changes to settings.
*Feedback on any visual issues/glitches or quirks in the app is appreciated. I'm using AI description services and my own understanding of how various controls should show information but the app has had limited actual sighted review. (5/5)
@kellylford The only thing I can say at the moment: This app is absolutely amazing! Give it a try. This app is not leaving my phone. This is the only app where I can get an accessible look at the weather on a certain day over 20 years. I'm in Canada and the data is wonderful. The only thing I would love it to do is have the ability to get marine and aviation forecasts. How easy would this be to implement? Let me know if there is anything I can do. This app is totally awesome!
@douglawlor Thanks for the kind words. I will have to see about those types of forecasts and what sources exist to use.
@douglawlor It seems like the API source I use has some marine forecast info available. Can you give me any idea of the sort of info you'd like in such a forecast an
d I'll try and add it as another section under the details for a city.
@douglawlor This is an example of the data I can get for a marine forecast. This will be a section like the daily and hourly sections for a location. Not all will be on by default but configurable. I have this working and the next update will have this. (1/2)
12 AM, Wave height 2.8 feet, Wave direction west, Wave period 12.2 s, Sea temperature 62.4°F, Swell height 2.6 feet, Current speed 0.2 mph, Current direction northeast, Sea level 2.23 feet, Wind wave direction southeast, Wind wave period 1.8 s, Swell period 11.1 s (2/2)
@kellylford @douglawlor Did you say that your Fast Weather app can tell you what’s happening around you, almost to the point of showing where weather fronts are? How does one find that feature?
@kevinrj @douglawlor You are probably talking about Weather Around Me. Use the Actions button when you are on the details for any city. It at least gives you an idea of the weather in different directions around you.
@kellylford @douglawlor So I opened up the details for Madison,
Tapped on the actions menu button
but all I got was: refresh, view historical weather, remove city, dismiss. And the app just updated. I’m usually not this dense :)
@kevinrj @kellylford I see the weather around me in my version. I'm running Version 1.0 build 20 here.
@douglawlor @kellylford So when you tap on the action menu you see, refresh weather, view historical weather, remove city, weather around you, dismiss.?
I also have version 1.0 build 20, but do not see weather around you.
@kevinrj @douglawlor Make sure the feature is turned on in Settings. What options do you get in the actions menu?
@kellylford @douglawlor I didn’t think to turn it on in settings. It’s on and working now. Will be interesting the next time we get a significant temperature front.
@kevinrj @douglawlor I want to refine this over time. There is a lot of data available but sifting through it and or figuring out the right queries takes time. I have seen it work when I was down south and a cold front was moving through. You can also get some sense of surrounding weather with Apple Maps but I find that very sluggish to use.
@kellylford @douglawlor Interesting, ye I have played with weather on Apple Maps but iPhone screens are too small for that.
What would you like to do in the future with Fast Weather that blind people haven’t had access to from other weather apps?

Build 21 of Fast Weather is now available. Some notes, pay particular attention to the Weather in Time feature. I obviously like it but pay attention that you can forget that you are viewing weather for a different day. I'm still exploring how to refine this but really like being able to quickly check the weather for multiple days and multiple cities easily with this feature.

***New Features*** (1/4)

A new feature called Weather In Time allows you to step back and forward by seven days in each direction from the app home screen. The app will then behave as though you were viewing data at that date and time for both the city list and city detail screens. There is a button to return to today on the home screen. To change days, use the buttons on the top of the home screen or for VoiceOver users, you can use the rotor action to adjust days with focus on the date indication. (2/4)

Work is ongoing on making the fact that you have changed the day more obvious outside the home screen.

This feature is handy when for example you want to get a sense of the weather for tomorrow at multiple locations from your city list.

A new Marine Forecast section has been added at user request. Configure it in Settings. Note, the Marine forecast section will show for cities without Marine data in this build but will be empty.

***Fixes*** (3/4)

Some international countries were not displaying the proper country names for U.S. English. This has been corrected. (4/4)
@DavidGoldfield @kellylford Are you the author of Fast Weather for Windows? Any new version too?
@clv1 @DavidGoldfield I am the author. Not yet on a new version for Windows. Hopefully in a week or so to update with some of the newer features I have added to the iOS app and web version.
