Six Palestine Action activists were cleared today of aggravated burglary over a protest at an Israeli weapons firm in 2024. The jury also cleared three defendants of violent disorder and failed to reach a verdict on a GBH charge – charges that are the basis of the group's labelling as "terrorists". Netpol calls for the release of all other prisoners held on remand for these protests

Three of the group were also found not guilty of violent disorder, while the jury failed to reach verdicts on charges of criminal damage and causing grievous bodily harm.

@netpol My understanding is that the government only moved to proscribe Palestine Action after members vandalised aircraft and a runway at RAF Brize Norton. "Attacking" a military base was the red line.

Amy Gardiner-Gibson, Jony Cink, Daniel Jeronymides-Norie, Lewie Chiaramello and Muhammad Umer Khalid were charged - not the same activists who carried out the Elbit action and will now walk free.
