People complain about Rust because there are various historically significant platforms it doesn't support but if I wanted to compile a Rust program for a platform it's not possible to compile Rust to I would just, like, do it. Like I'd just compile it to that platform. Cursed Skills Issue

I complain more because of the resource intensity of Rust and the packages manager...

@mcc I've spend enough time hacking together shifty chains of compilers that I'm not as worried about that. I've made LLVM spit out somewhat reasonable code for platforms like old 24-bit only DSPs. Rust's npm-inspired approach to package and library management makes me consider rust barely fit for purpose as anything other than throw-away code though.
