Am I missing something? The Xcode 26.3 agent stuff can't seem to create any actual files — they're listed as "Proposal" — expanding them and clicking "Create New File" does nothing

I don't really want to have to copy-paste these into files manually

Toggling this button off and on again + restarting Xcode appears to have fixed it

Hmm actually no it didn't

I created two new projects to test this. In one, it cannot create any files (everything shows up as "Proposal"), and in the other it just works

Okay I think I've figured this out. Xcode's agent can't seem to create folders or files within subfolders. As soon as it tries to organise things by putting them in folders it comes up as "Proposal" and there's no way to create the actual file without copying and pasting it

Is there any way around this? Seems like it's not intended to behave this way

Well that was confusing. Looks like I needed to install the "Codex" agent and not just try to use my existing "ChatGPT in Xcode" thing. The developer video has them installing Claude, and I just assumed my existing signed-in ChatGPT one would be upgraded. My bad
