Reading update

I’m halfway through 異人山 by 高雲章, and I started the third short story in the collection 그날, 서울에서는 무슨 일이.

And I found a second mention of ramyeon in this short story! Good thing I left two pages for ramyeon! (all the others only have one page). I still don’t know how I should write the name of the dish on top of the page. I want it to look good, but I don’t trust myself to do a nice hangeul font

And I found yet another case of poisoning! In the microscopic scope of my reading challenge, this makes poisoning the most popular way to kill people in crime novels.

I kind of like it when two languages use the same word like here with Korean 독살 (hanja: 毒殺) and Japanese 毒殺 (どくさつ).

I also have a prompt for murders disguised as accident, and this one is the only prompt with poisoning that has two entries in the same language, and in both cases it’s Korean.

@blue Shin ramen! I'm so terribly addicted to it 😂
@blue oh, THAT is how you handwrite the ㅊ character! 😲 I only recently understood how to hand write ㅈ but couldn't figure out ㅊ... thanks for sharing this!
@JillsJoy
Hmm I’m not sure I’m writing it very well…
I think the first stroke could be smaller and less horizontal, but it probably doesn’t matter too much.
@blue I have a feeling there will be a lot of ramyeon
@croptopjin
Oh yes, very likely 🍜
