The US is now a country, where The Executive Branch celebrates its arrest of a journalist for reporting the news.

Let that sink in.

@randahl It's all proof for future trials/commitees.
@randahl @mastophilipp is it? For historians, yes, but otherwise you have a coup instigator who wasn't persecuted at all and all of his mob are free
@randahl its a country where serious government institutions pay terminally online memeboys to maintain their main social media channels.
@randahl Mit Wortwitz! Geschmacklos in jeder Hinsicht.
@UschiAachen Und sogar mit einem Ketten-Emoji.
@randahl wow. "Riots"? That's pretty fucking rich.

@randahl

Not a surprise. He seems to be following El Salvador's governing style, where they were so proud to announce they had the biggest prison in the Americas, all powers are now concentrated on the Executive. And then, journalists are forced to flee after an investigation that revealed the murky methods Bukele used to arrive to power:

El Salvador’s top independent investigative news outlet moved its headquarters to Costa Rica in 2023. More of its journalists left the country this month.

@randahl Next to the fact, I also find the post of TWH "when life gives you lemons" very disturbing. It suggests it is their prerogative to imprison truth & free speech. This is a powerful sickening statement, proven by their actions.

@Ilka4You @randahl

Yep, Bad propaganda. Even that, those incompetents can't manage. But, It was to be expected from that bunch of rotten oranges.

@randahl My God... It's just like Venezuela...
but now Venezuela has been freed by US... wait...
@pablo Not actually, there are still a lot of members of the Socialist Party governing the country and the institutions, there's still a long way to restore the democracy.
@randahl Please no one tell them this can be used as proof of persecution

@randahl
