Well. Never too old to learn.

So I have learned that the military uses the following order:
- Strategy
- Operational
- Tactical

Whereas I am only familiar with:
- Strategy
- Tactical
- Operational

Who has a good read on how the military uses their "version" of this order and why?

Because due to my only experience with my version I find it a bit difficult to understand.

@thijs The military version is a bit longer, they also use Political above strategy. IRCC you have political goals (defeat germany), those translate to strategic goals , strategic goals(disrupt arms dev, contain armies) are met by performing operations (encircle army, take and hold city). And tactical is basically the squad moves on the ground. this order actually makes a lot more sense (to me) as it is a clear hierarchy of scope.
@kineticdiplomacy Thanks for the explanation. Makes more sense now. But why did business revert the operational and tactical?
@thijs That one escapes me. I remember once writing an article about it, and got completely confused. Obviously the military version is older. So I guess the business version just tried to shoehorn their own definition of operational in there, leading to this mess.
