Take me down to parallax city
Where the back moves slow and the front moves quickly
@scy Ooh - many Internet points awarded!
@scy … I want you, please, scroll me down. Yeah, yeah. 🎵
@scy Oh lol, I just saw that same quote yesterday on this short: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/owPUlJv98tU 😄
Disney cracked the illusion of depth in moving images, before digital zoom or CGI ever existed

@bloody_albatross That's, uh, where I read it too before posting it here 😅 xD
@bloody_albatross @scy that was my comment, but feel free to repost, the more people it amuses the merrier
@fraggle @bloody_albatross @scy I’ve seen it copied around a lot recently. You just be a proud comment-dad :)
@fraggle @bloody_albatross lol, that's funny :) What a small world. Thank you for your comment, I liked it a lot <3

@GabeMoralesVR @scy wow holy shit

@zeh @scy Ah, thought you had responded to something else there for a sec. Yeah, that's the pulfrich effect, which *does* work for some people: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulfrich_effect

But for many others, it outright makes them sick, which is why you never see games do parallax like this. Seriously it turns my stomach, only game to ever do that to me.

@GabeMoralesVR @scy oh, very interesting, first time I heard of this. Thanks for sharing.

It might work on a bigger screen than my phone, if I give my mind time to adapt? But right now it's really just sickening to see.

@zeh @scy Well remember, you're supposed to have special glasses to activate the 3D. And with the 3D glasses on, it's *less* putrid, but not enough for me. I just clicked my own link and watched for a split second and I feel my stomach turned already. Reading the comments on youtube, someone said the game triggered a seizure in them! Whats funny is this game on the Amiga is *hyper* expensive these days. Like half a grand for a sickness machine lol.
@scy Take me down to the Paradox City, where the grass is green and the grass isn't green.
