It may not much matter much to my mastodon friends, but over on dread Substack, my autobiographical zine, with essays about subsistence farming in the Sahel, Silicon Valley kulturekampf, biodigital technopotheosis, literary theory & the Mesopotamian demon Pazuzu just passed 100 paid subscribers. (You can read it & subscribe for free, of course.)

An adorable three year old says thank you

SFIO! is a substack bestseller

Sundman figures it out!
@jsundman Someone is sure to come along and "scold" you for not switching your blog and subscribers over to Ghost.
And they probably won't realise what a huge amount of work that is. A friend of mine who runs a successful local news aggregation service for Edinburgh did it, but he planned it meticulously for about six months first.
Actually, you may know him - that friend is Michael MacLeod, Ken's son.
He runs the @EdinburghMinute

Thanks for this kind comment. Yes, I've thought about switching from Substack to Ghost or Beehive, and I might consider doing it if the odds weren't so high of doing so leading to financial ruin & homelessness. So, not this year; maybe next. I don't know Ken's son, but I will check out the Edinburgh Minute. I don't really know Ken's brother either, although we have had a couple of pleasant email exchanges.
