Watching Dune and losing my shit every time a sand dune is shown on screen. I love it when directors throw in subtle nods to the film title like that.

It's a little known fact that an early working title was "The Sand Has Worms" but it was narrowly rejected in favor of Dune. Personally I find that the initial title has more human interest value.

The author also writes a lot about water scarcity an thirst and there was a Coca-Cola coupon that came with the first edition paperback. (#certifiedLowQualityFact)

Also, "Dune" is an anagram of "nude", and all the actors are actually nude under their costumes!
