Getting on a train to go Seattle->LA soon, and despite the 36 hour journey time I'm actually quite intrigued. Never been on a US sleeper before, and I have a cabin (work is paying) and it actually sounds quite swanky. There's three meals a day served in the dining room and it's all posh like.
Bring my laptop, electricity and a private room - hell it could be a Tuesday.
@TomF The ride itself was a bit rough because Scott Luck. One of the riders started attacking other customers, so they waited a bunch of time for the police to show up... who then said it wasn't their jurisdiction so they needed to then wait for the Amtrak police (which is apparently a thing) to show up.
I mean my door had a lock, and the aforementioned toilet, so y'know.
