In related news, I'm now watching Orphan Black: Echoes, and it's...fine.

Or it would've been fine as a standalone sci-fi show, anyway.

But as a sequel to Orphan Black, it just falls flat.

It's not as well-written, the plot isn't as compelling, there's very little to connect this show to the OG universe...

...and come ON. They expect me to believe that after everything she witnessed and psychically felt her mother and the sestras go through, Kira would grow up to do *that*?!?

Nuh-uh.

I don't believe for a second that she'd become a person who could entertain the possibility for even a moment.

Or be so wishy-washy and people-pleasy throughout.

That's not the brave little girl who voluntarily walked back into Dyad's clutches to help her family. And the excuse of "I pathologically need constancy and just couldn't imagine this world without _________" -- just doesn't go far enough to convince me.

The writers of #OrphanBlackEchoes really messed up on that one.

Orphan Black is one of my rewatch comfort shows. Tatiana Maslany is awesome.

I like Kysten Ritter--particularly in Jessica Jones--but this new Orphan Black series just did not grab me like the original.
