Cats of Yore
My little Marcel, the happiest boy in the world! We say he has a "mullet coat" because he looks shorthaired in front but then it gradually floofs out to medium haired pantaloons and a lush, full tail. 😂 He's only 8 months old, though. Our vet thinks he might floof out all over eventually but obviously he's perfect no matter what.

@CatsOfYore We have a tiger stripe cat with a white bin and belly. The white fur is about 20% longer and very soft and fine. It is amazing how different two types of fur can be on the same cat.

@CatsOfYore my fluffy cat was similarly short-haired in the front and fluffy at the back, and it took over a year for the fluff to reach the front. He's 9 months in this photo

@giflian @CatsOfYore I had no idea this was a thing! My short-haired kitty Ava has a floofier butt now than a couple of years ago (she’s now 5 years old) but I’ve never seen such uneven hair growth 😆
