leadoreI’ve always said all legislators should be required to walk through the aftermath of an event like sandy Hook or Uvalde before they are allowed to vote on gun legislation. And while I understand why parents would never want video of that made available to the public, I also think it would make a huge difference in public opinion if it was–that’s why I say at least the lawmakers should have to see it.
I have no doubt of any of that. They wont make it public and all the reasons they use will never be their reason. They don’t want us to see how they failed. That a exonerated coward stood by while it was happening and broke his oath doing so. That none of of the law enforcement on site had the courage to go in and end it. If that video would have been made public though it would have not changed the politicians that much. Far too many of them lack the ability to feel the pain of others. Its how they got to where they are.
