@martijnbraam That really doesn't seem advised... would it not have been better to do one release at a time with postmarketos-release-upgrade ? (so that packages with hooks in intermediary releases are able to run to migrate things?)

@pavel not sure what the current state is actually, it's msm8916 so it's not terrible, but according the wiki there's no call audio

@martijnbraam Thanks. Call audio is important to me. (Samsung S4 mini VE works, but only with loudspeaker... and battery life is ~20 hours. Not great, not terrible.)

@pavel the low resolution and lack of touch screen also makes it pretty impractical for real use unless you'd write some specialized UI for it

@martijnbraam @pavel there was actually a UI based on phoc for feature phones, but it was unmaintained so we had to remove it recently in alpine/postmarketos: https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Bananui

@fossdd @martijnbraam Ah, interesting, thanks for a pointer! I looked at various kaios devices, and they seem to be ~ same weight as the samsung s4 mini... and s4 will be easier to support.
