Adding to the list of "things I didn't expect to ever happen, but make sense in these tumultuous times": A job listing for a senior C++ engineer who will "Build and maintain GOG GALAXY on #Linux"

Edit: For anybody less-familiar with me, I remain critical of a number of GOG's policies and practices, and I find the requirement to not just use "AI" but to participate in encouraging its adoption to be an unacceptable thing to ask of prospective employees.

I also didn't know that GOG had paid menstrual leave. That's pretty rad

@Doomed_Daniel Yeah, I was saying earlier that that's a dealbreaker for sure

@Cheeseness "Actively use and promote AI-assisted development tools to increase team efficiency and code quality" :(
@mdiluz Yeah, "Active use of AI tools in daily development workflows, and enthusiasm for helping the team increase adoption" in the job requirements is an absolute dealbreaker for anybody with a conscience IMO

@Cheeseness yeah :(

Plus even setting aside the ethical issues, I'd be super hesitent to sign up to anything *requiring* me to use and promote the thing that has emerging evidence of causing near literal brainrot, especially for technical skills.

Shame, apart from a few things this is written for me ;)

@mdiluz I mean, participating in establishing a poor/harmful work environment for your coworkers and anybody who might have your role in the future is 100% an ethical concern from where I sit.
@Cheeseness ha, ain't that the truth
