Perhaps Apple could outsource the rest of the software stack to Google too https://www.bugsappleloves.com
Bugs Apple Loves

Bugs Apple won't fix. Why else would they keep them around for so long? We did the math.

@lrz I *really* want them to do a Snow Leopard bug fix year (yes, I know they introduced Grand Central behind the scenes). I'm not upgrading to Tahoe *or* iOS 26 because *all I see* are people talking about bugs and visual problems. I don't know what's going on there, but someone needs to go in there and clean up those long-standing bugs rather than racing forward, adding new stuff.

Make the existing stuff work properly.

@WTL Yeah but GCD was more of an internal / core feature (I was a member of the team that delivered it btw, and I'm certain we added more stuff to the SL release) but yeah, a lot of bug fixes. Lion was packed with a lot of great stuff after, my favorite release ever I think. From my recollection Tiger was the worst (took maybe 10 updates to stabilize it lol).

I haven't used a Mac in 3-4 years and honestly not missing it. There has been a drop in software quality that was noticeable.

@lrz so that they can pass the buck...
