I would like a projector. I want to paint a mural on two doors. The idea is to design them on my iPad, project them, then paint the doors.

The projectors I've found are muy caro £££ but I won't need them for long so I can't justify the price. It doesn't have to be the best quality, just enough to get the basics down.

So, pocket frendos: Any ideas?

@book can you get your hands on an old slide projector? It's possible to print a picture on a transparency, shove that into a slide frame, and project that. The resolution is garbage but it ought to be good enough for your purposes.

@annathecrow @book I came here to say this, and you can pick up old overhead projectors quite cheaply. The size and level of detail will be factors in whether this is viable.

If you have a lot of detail, then a pounce pattern is an option, either that you do yourself or have a print shop with a plotter run off for you.

As a last resort, gridding up and recreating the design square by square for the enlargement.
