They are saying citizens can't protest in the streets (1st amendment).
They are saying citizens can't carry a gun if they do protest (2nd amendment).
They are saying citizens and local businesses must feed and house federal agents occupying their city (3rd amendment)
They are saying they don't need a warrant to enter citizens' homes (4th amendment)
They are saying they can detain and deport anyone they want without a court hearing (5th amendment) (1/2)
Our founding fathers made these the top of the list for a reason: without these rights we are living under tyranny. (2/2)
@robert Long ago, George Carlin had a comment about this: "Rights aren't rights if someone can take them away. We have no rights. We have Temporary Privileges."
@robert So many constitutional amendments violated by ICE, it's hard to keep count. I might add the 14th Amendment and the 8th Amendment against "cruel and unusual punishment."
@robert hmm when will they have Kristallnacht?
@MJmusicinears They already have. They murdered a pillar of our country in broad daylight, on video, and are behaving as if there will be no consequences. It's up to us to enact those deserved consequences.
@robert right on It always has been
@robert These rights were enumerated by the Founders precisely because this is what the British were doing to us at the order of King George 250 years ago. It caused a revolution. These rights are dear to Americans today and we will not give them up or otherwise strip them of meaning.
@meltedcheese Glad to have you alongside the good people who refuse to give in. We cannot forget this and every single person involved should be treated as accomplices
@robert He said he was going to suspend the Constitution. GOP said, "OK, we won't stop you"

@robert

Americans fetishize the Constitution as if it has real power. It doesn't. When the regime can use it to their advantage, they do. When they can't, they ignore it. Dubya probably never said the Constitution was a "goddamned piece of paper", but I do. We are not ruled by laws. We are ruled by men, a few women, and machines.

@LevZadov What's your fucking plan then? I believe in ideals and principles.

@robert

#GeneralStrike

It's that or a shooting war and a shooting war would be disastrous.

Besides unpleasant aesthetics and the debatable morality of mass slaughter, it's just not necessary.

"If the workers are organized, all they have to do is to put their hands in their pockets and they have got the capitalist class whipped." -- Big Bill Haywood

@robert I think the 3rd remains unbroken, so far. Historically, it only applies to military (not law enforcement) and only to private homes (not businesses).

I haven't heard anything about businesses being forced to provide, either. Their right to refuse is granted by federal law.

But that's just one in the list, and the rest (plus the 10th) are each plenty bad enough on their own.

@robert imagine if the police stopped this law breaking
@otfrom Some of those that burn crosses and all that

@robert

Organise Oath saying events, begin demos, speeches from the stage.

Ask for everyone to say it together, but ask or call up people who have recited it because law.
