@andyjennings @binford2k
she played the "i'm just a girl, i don't know anything" card and it worked.
her not being a member of the nazi party (therefore by definition not being a nazi; unlike streicher) did help, too.
Food for thought… thanks for sharing. 🙏🏻 So often we hear about people getting away with evil deeds without consequences…

Because that is where it starts…
@noodlemaz @binford2k There are reports the Nuremburg hangings were intentionally "bungled" to maximize the punishment of those Nazi murderers. Every one of them hit the trap door on the way down.
The only thing wrong with the gallows at Nuremburg was under use.
@noodlemaz @binford2k One way is to simply declare them "outlaw" in the old sense of the word: outside the protection of any and all law.
The rest will take care of itself.
The reason for opposing the death penalty under normal circumstances is that courts cannot be trusted to determine guilt from innocence and cannot be trusted with such power.
At Nuremburg, the tribunal was disbanded when their work was done, preventing them from starting in on anyone else like normal courts might do. There was also no question whatsoever of guilt or innocence.
@inj4n @binford2k @axelspringer have you watched in December ZDF "die Anstalt"? AFD strategy of normalizing right wing extremism is the "culture war". Much of the normalization narratives presented are very present in the narrative of Bild (Axel Springer) and is an AFD Steigbügel.
Once the Brandmauer moves we can pack up since the Reichstag will be on fire.
