Mister Rogers was remarkable for speaking kind and simple truths. I think that kind of truth can often seem trite or obvious or twee, and that can produce an assumption that we don't need to speak them out loud.

But especially in this era where unkind falsehoods are spoken without limit by those in power, I think speaking kind and simple truths at every opportunity can help to build a root system of decency that ties us to one another.

Remember: you are a remarkable person just for being you. There is no one else quite like you. And you can affect the world around you just by being kind and helping other people.
