The Monteath Mausoleum in the Necropolis in Glasgow. Dating from the mid-1800s, it was designed by David Cousin and was based on the Knights Templar Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Built for Archibald Douglas Monteath, it's unusual in having no dedication or inscription of any kind on it.

I remember seeing this, as you say with no inscription, I thought perhaps it was some sort of utility work, not a memorial!
@FallsMom I'll leave you to look up the story of Monteath and the Maharaja's stolen elephant, which reputedly explains how he could afford such a grand memorial. 🙂
Intriguing story, everywhere peppered with terms "allegedly," "debatable," but fun to imagine!
@FallsMom Glasgow loves a good story! 😀👍
