I am of the opinion that Business and Model are the two most evil words in English.

Begin on their own, but combine them? You know someone's up to some stupid nonsense and they've just cast some kind of weird mind-control spell on legislators.

"You're doing something horrible."
"Yes, it's our Business Model"
"OH. Oh sorry for bringing you in. We thought you didn't know it was horrible. Now that we know it's DELIBERATE we're powerless to stop you."

As a product manager, I miss how these supposedly entrepreneurial innovators are not doing any business modelling at all. If users don't use your product, that is a you problem - and there probably is a solution if your willing to listen, learn and put in the work. Somewhere between Bitcoins and LLMs this seems to have been forgotten. We seem to be back in the age where users are expected to just accept bad design. Why though?
