ℹ️ Update: While ordinary internet connectivity in #Iran remains disrupted at hour 238, traffic data indicate a significant return to some online services including Google, suggesting that heavily filtered access has been enabled, corroborating user reports of partial restoration
⚠️ Update: As of internet shutdown hour 240, traffic levels have fallen after a brief, heavily filtered restoration of select Google and messaging services in #Iran. During this time, some Iranians were able to give updates detailing the severity of the crisis on the ground.
⚠️ Update: With the #Iran internet blackout now spanning its twelfth day, metrics show that national connectivity remains minimal. In recent days, the filternet has occasionally allowed messages through, suggesting that the regime is testing a more heavily filtered intranet.
⚠️ Update: With #Iran's internet blackout now past hour 280, the nation of over 90 million remains cut off for another day leaving friends and family unable to check in with loved ones. Meanwhile, traffic on select platforms points to an emergent strategy of whitelisting.

⏱️ Over 300 hours have passed since #Iran imposed a national internet blackout to hide atrocities. Meanwhile, the regime uses whitelisted networks and places op-eds to shape opinion abroad.

Attempts to obscure the truth will be documented in real time: The world is watching.

🗓️ Two weeks ago today, #Iran was cut off from the world by an extremist regime as the people went out on the streets to call for change.

With the digital blackout silencing Iranians' voices, authorities perpetrated one of the deadliest crackdowns in modern history.

⚠️ Update: #Iran has now been under a national internet blackout for two full weeks. At hour 336, connectivity levels continue to flatline with only a slight rise at the backbone supplying regime-whitelisted networks, while a few users are now able to tunnel to the outside world.
⚠️ Update: #Iran remains in the midst of a national internet blackout in its third week at hour 348 with only a slight rise in overall connectivity and tunneled users. There are indications of an attempt to generate false traffic and manufacture narratives of a wider restoration.
@netblocks Some internet has been restored. I can chat with users in Tehran on WhatsApp.
@robertlogger @netblocks its not restored completely
@iproute @robertlogger @netblocks Yes, because the Government didn't want any of it to be restored, this was an act of rebellion, I know exactly what happened in fact
@netblocks I just connected from Iran after two weeks.
Only Google and ChatGPT are officially available. But people are sharing v2ray urls and .npvt config files to connect each other
@netblocks UPDATE
Our access to global internet is limiting again. People have a very limited access in only some areas with Irancell and Rightel ISPs. We expect a blackout in next ours.
@netblocks today I got a text message from Iran.
@ingo_wichmann
which app did you get the text from?
With a lot of difficulty and using special VPNs, it’s possible to connect. Since a few hours ago, most people have been able to get online again, but the internet is still not fully restored like before. You can only connect with difficulty, and it’s extremely weak and practically unusable.
@ingo_wichmann @netblocks most people can not connect to any app/service/website outside of the country except for some limited access with lots of noises. No internet here!
just connected after 13 days as a programmer.
@netblocks As of yesterday Chatgpt is whitelisted as a result cloudflare tunnel is possible
