A little treat from Octopus Energy. Applied to borrow one of these a LONG time ago, but pleased to finally get a go with one. Will be hunting for cold spots this weekend and trying to optimise the UFH which is not in balance. #octopusenergy #flir

Some success with the thermal camera. Found that loop 4 of the UFH was ‘leaking’ which explains why a particular area in the kitchen is always hotter than the rest. Seems the actuator valve had slipped loose enough to allow flow. This shows lounge on (1+2), kitchen off (3,4 & 5). Have re-fixed although quite tight 😬

Have also attempted to balance, as one part of the kitchen never seems very warm.

The side door and front door aren’t great. Managed to add some silicone mastic to the bottom of the side door, which has made a good improvement. I think we’ll add a fabric draft excluder from Dunelm too.

Underneath the cupboard in the utility where the water supply comes in was a gaping hole leading to the undercroft. That’s now plugged with spray insulation foam.

That should make a big difference in the utility. I still think we under-spec’d the UFH in there though.
