1. rpg sketch 1
Appropriate that I'm opening this year with a short RPG Maker project. I can't talk too much about it without spoiling it's minimalist nature, but suffice to say that I gave it several attempts trying to pick up what it was laying down.
It's cute!
2. rpg sketch 2
Spiritual sequel to the previous, I presume. Manages to get across a tight, survival-horror feel, even with minimal atmosphere and speech.
I died a lot. Glad I beat it, though I had to read comments on the itch page and elsewhere for hints.
3. Daisy Goes to Slime Castle for Tea
I'm choked up a bit after playing this. I kinda wish I had jumped on it sooner, but to me, the themes (other than the hilarious dialogue) of finding a bit of comfort and friendship amid a chaotic world really speaks to me right now.
An extremely loving tribute to RPGs and the kind of memorable characters that the best ones have. Thanks for making this.
Could even be a *cough*gee oh tee wai*cough* ...
4. Cosmic Thing (30th Anniversary Expanded Edition) - The B-52s
Always loved their kitchy, queer style, so listening to their debut album was probably long overdue. Every track catchy, a good breadth of vibes, loved it. If you're new to the band, the original is not a bad place to start!
(This long version may be a bit much, however, but I think I'll give it at least another listen. Roam is a banger and I often use it for a vocal warmup, but does the album need *four* different versions?!)
