@kissinglass do you, uh, sell these? Or just for yourself?
@vex I don't have much in my Etsy shop at the moment. Christmas was super busy but I am really trying to re-stock. kissinglass.etsy.com.
Or if you want to see my vast portfolio of work check out my Insta @kissinglassart
@kissinglass Ohh very nice. What's the process? Are you decorating blank glass of starting from scratch in the hotshop? Great work.
@Setanta I start with clear glass, always upcycled/recycled. Then I add about 10 coats of acrylic glass paint, baked between coats in the oven. Then I sculpt polymer clay onto the painted surface of the glass. The clay is then heat bonded in the oven and then finally a coat of acrylic laquer is added. In this case anyway.🙂
@kissinglass Never mind you said it in your profile. I didn't know polymer clay was such a good medium.
@Setanta Fimo is the brand of polymer clay I use. It has fantastic lightfastness and very vibrant colours, that can be mixed just like paint. I've worked with just about every medium out there and I always come back to polymer clay. It's like a paint you can sculpt with.
@kissinglass Thanks for the detail. I've never used it. I've used modeling clay, air dry clay and polymer clay that is used in car modeling. I work in product design and I must try it for making small model details like switches. My art self does pottery I'll post a couple of pieces soon.
