Only a few years after it opened I’m finally travelling on Crossrail. That’s what this republican has to call it 😀
It’s fine. Trains better than I’d have expected, except the weird gaps/steps. Ticketing doesn’t work properly outside London. Stations are build big scale and well. It’s a decent modern railway.

@jon The „you can tap in here, but not tap out at you destination“ is one of the most annoying things about the London transportation. Been there myself a couple of times and had to buy a second ticket whilst already on the train…

(Luckily not tapping out in London is quite inexpensive ~11£ as you only pay the daily cap, compared to other cities)

@jon But to be fair… I still prefer tapping to tickets and other payment systems. As a tourist, not having to worry about zones, fares if day tickets are cheaper then paying for individual trips, all of this is gone and creates much simpler and easier experience!
