Saintly SinIt does baffle me (for reference I'm Pagan, so looking at this from the outside, in) that many of the folks suddenly claiming to be Christian would dismiss Jesus' teachings as "woke nonsense" if he really did return and would just crucify him all over again.

I don't think they're interested in what Jesus had to say, they're more interested in medieval 'christianity' which persisted in some parts of Europe until well into the last century. You know, coercive control, subjugation, absolute monarchy sanctioned by the church, torture, witch burning. That sort of christianity.
