@root @thio i think part of my brain is annoyed by me being too nuanced so it tries to counteract it by being reactionary instead so i view both companies as "corposludge bullshit manufacturer" because they are
i'd honestly rather have a slower computer made by a gay than a faster, non-repairable/open computer made by "the only good corporation guys trust me it'll be different this time"

the primary reason i dislike framework at the moment is not the political stuff but the copious number of faults ive had to deal with

@root maybe. from what I've heard/seen they are easy to repair but you'll need it because they break a lot and Framework support is bad.

And imo there's no such thing as a good company

@root It's still better to buy something used. It's way cheaper & certain older laptops are about as repairable.
