@Unixbigot 12i layer 6.8π dimensional PCBs with chronostabilisation.
@abstractcode @Unixbigot the support for irrational layer numbers is a nice touch
@jpm @Unixbigot Will fit well with the irrational circuits being designed. Like that "AI" badge thing.
@Unixbigot
I refuse to decide! They synergize so wonderfully! A mobius mandelbrot edged superconducting groundplane is a thing of beauty.
@Unixbigot I’m not paying extra for non-green soldermask, and even though the fully passive protocol-aware auto-crossover network is very cool I’m still never going to use EasyEDA just to use it

@jpm @Unixbigot I have no idea if "fully passive protocol-aware auto-crossover network" is an actual thing or completely made up. Well played, have points*.

*the points, like all of us, are not redeemable

@Unixbigot @jpm This is how Hardware Touchers assert dominance. Keep proposing more and more outlandish things until someone challenges you and then you DESTROY THEM by proving it's real. Ideally both through their doubt and because you made someone aware of something cursed.

I might be projecting unhealthy software developer practices onto hardware types here.

@Unixbigot @abstractcode whom amongst us has never designed a PCB without crossed UART TX/RX, I2C SDA/SCL, SPI MISO/MOSI, or USB DM/DP pairs?

@jpm @Unixbigot <raised hand>

It's on the to do list for the year, possibly.

@abstractcode @Unixbigot give me a yell if you need 34AWG magnet wire to do the bodge repair
@jpm @Unixbigot I mean that's semi-cursed, not really full strength. "May you miss a tram and need to wait 20 minutes for the next one" rather than "may you fall feet first into an industrial rock crusher while also having Baby Shark played at you at extreme volume."
@jpm @abstractcode I made a signal crossover matrix footprint called OH_FUCK for this https://aus.social/@Unixbigot/112356890432323749
Kit Bashir (@[email protected])

Attached: 3 images I've implemented a KiCad footprint that provides an "oh fuck I got tx/rx backwards again" crossover box. Not my idea but I forget where I first saw it (I think it was here on Fedi). Fit two resistors (or solder bridges) horizontally and it's straight through; fit them vertically and it's a cross-over. https://github.com/accelerando-consulting/Kicad-Libraries/tree/master/Accelerando.pretty ETA: the name of the footprint is “Oh_Fuck”.

@Unixbigot @abstractcode yes, the original response was a precision-guided shitpost based on exactly this
@Unixbigot You’ve got a pretty good bell curve going on there.
@Unixbigot the difficult part of hyperspace vias was never the via itself, it was building, staffing, and maintaining all the tiny space stations guarding each. Also agreeing whether they should be DS9 or Bablyon5 shaped.

@Unixbigot
Previous day delivery is awesome except when you forget to make the order afterwards.

It makes forgetting to make the antipasta look like a stroll in the park.
