@Unixbigot I’m not paying extra for non-green soldermask, and even though the fully passive protocol-aware auto-crossover network is very cool I’m still never going to use EasyEDA just to use it

@jpm @Unixbigot I have no idea if "fully passive protocol-aware auto-crossover network" is an actual thing or completely made up. Well played, have points*.

*the points, like all of us, are not redeemable

@Unixbigot @abstractcode whom amongst us has never designed a PCB without crossed UART TX/RX, I2C SDA/SCL, SPI MISO/MOSI, or USB DM/DP pairs?
@jpm @abstractcode I made a signal crossover matrix footprint called OH_FUCK for this https://aus.social/@Unixbigot/112356890432323749
Kit Bashir (@[email protected])

Attached: 3 images I've implemented a KiCad footprint that provides an "oh fuck I got tx/rx backwards again" crossover box. Not my idea but I forget where I first saw it (I think it was here on Fedi). Fit two resistors (or solder bridges) horizontally and it's straight through; fit them vertically and it's a cross-over. https://github.com/accelerando-consulting/Kicad-Libraries/tree/master/Accelerando.pretty ETA: the name of the footprint is “Oh_Fuck”.

@Unixbigot @abstractcode yes, the original response was a precision-guided shitpost based on exactly this
