Microsoft tried to stuff an ad bar into #SSMS, then pushed an update saying you can simply disable it if you don't like it... by editing the registry.
I saw some comments in another posting about this where people were saying "SSMS is free, and Microsoft needs to make money somehow." *facepalm*

When I first heard about AI/Copilot inclusion with SSMS, I voiced my displeasure on LinkedIn. It was not well received.
But seeing that ad in SSMS made me feel vindicated with regards to my criticism of MS. They have become so terrible. 🙁
