@thefalcon It will eventually auto update. We have it on a delayed rollout in case we run into a big bug that snuck through all the testing.

@ivory how does app update rollout work?
I've noticed some folk's apps update asap, vs others I've seen take up to a week some times to "auto" update (while newer updates still install themselves later).

Is this rollout configurable and if so what do they let you set? Curious side of things!

@colinstu You can do a slow roll-out where it auto updates across users over about a week. Gives developers a chance to monitor bug reports and push out an important fix before the version with the bug goes out to everyone.

@ivory Sesrching but haven’t found yet. Primer on quoted posts? Both viewing and making? The command to quote a post by right clicking the boost icon seems to be gone so I assume a new means of quoting?

@leebennett Probably for the best. We haven't changed anything on how things work though. That button on Mac requires a long click to see the menu when that setting is on. We need to remove that option now anyways since quote posts are official and part of that menu.

@ivory So I tried turning that option off and the only difference is getting a menu the same as right clicking with the option on. But now I'm trying different toots and sometimes see the Quote option, so maybe it's only offered if the toot came from a server that supports new style quotes?

@leebennett You just have to single click the boost icon and you'll get a menu to boost or quote.

@ivory But that doesn't seem right coz I'm pretty sure mastodon.social supports it, and the Quote option isn't present on a toot from there, but I *do* get it on your toot.

@leebennett If quote doesn't work on a post, it's probably because the user disabled it in their post or their server isn't mastodon 4.5 or later).

@lvalenta So we can't replicate that issue at all. Would need a lot more details from you to try and replicate. What iPad OS version, what does your multitasking settings look like? (Windowed mode, stage manager?)

@ocean Not officially, but we have a lot of pleroma users. There might be certain pleroma-specific features that might not work properly, but we don't know what they could be. Best to download and do the free trial and see how the experience is for yourself.

@ocean For the 7 day free trial, we recommend subscribing, and then go to your subscription settings and immediately unsubscribe. This lets you have that 7-day free trial, but not have to worry about the actual sub kicking in on its own.
